Brooklyn Brewery is preparing to release a beer festival for Brooklyn’s craft beer lovers in 2019.
The festival will kick off on Saturday, April 7 at Brooklyn Brewery and Tap, and run through Sunday, April 8 at Brooklyn Craft Beer Fest.
The Brooklyn Craft Brewfest will feature over 20 beers from around the globe, including beers brewed by some of the world’s most celebrated brewers, including Avery, Trappist monks, Dogfish Head, Lagunitas, Stone, Stone Brewing, Stone IPA, and a few others.
Brooklyn Brewery co-founder and head brewer Brian Wiesner says that the Brooklyn Brewfest is not only an opportunity to celebrate the history of the brewery and the people who have helped create it, but also the city itself.
“We are not only here to celebrate Brooklyn, but the history and legacy of this city as a whole,” said Wiesen.
“We are going to be sharing our beers with the world.
This is going to bring people together to celebrate, to celebrate craft beer.”
Brewfest is set to take place in a renovated Brooklyn Brewery facility, and will feature live music and a craft beer bar, along with food trucks.
Brooklyn Brew Fest will also feature a live music program, with special guests like the Brooklyn Dolls, the Allman Brothers Band, and New York Dolls.
Brooklyn Craft Brewing’s brewmaster Chris Anderson says that Brooklyn’s beers are often referred to as “craft beers” by some, and that this festival is going “beyond the standard beer category.”
“We’ve got to find a balance between the craft and the mass market,” said Anderson.
“It’s not going to take away from what makes Brooklyn great.”
Brooklyn Craft Brewers has a large beer collection, which they plan to showcase at the Brooklyn Beer Festival.
The brewery plans to have over 30 craft beers in its taproom and canning line, including a few on tap for tasting.
Brooklyn Beer Fest will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 1, 2019, at Brooklyn Brew, with beer sales starting at 8 p.m.
The event will also be streamed live on Brooklyn Craft and will be available on the Brooklyn Craft website and social media channels.
Brooklyn Craft Brewing and Brooklyn Brew will be hosting an international beer tasting on Saturday night, March 7, at their taproom.
The tasting will include over 30 beers from all around the world, including brews from some of Brooklyn’s most respected brewers, as well as beers brewed and bottled in Brooklyn by some prominent brewers in the city.
The taste will be accompanied by live music from Brooklyn Dollz.
Brooklyn craft beer fans can also get a taste of some of their favorite beers from the Brooklyn taproom, and the brewery is partnering with The New York Times to give away a signed copy of the next book from the book of the same name.
The book will be on sale at Brooklyn Beer, and can be preordered here.
