Ford will invest $400 million to build a manufacturing facility in Wisconsin, with the goal of doubling its Wisconsin manufacturing capacity by 2020.
The company announced the news in a news release Tuesday morning.
Ford is also adding an additional 200 workers at its Milwaukee assembly plant and adding a $300 million investment in a new Wisconsin-based factory.
The announcement comes a day after the company announced that it would invest $5 billion in its Wisconsin operations, with more than 1,500 jobs being added and an additional 1,000 expected to be added in the next year.
Ford announced in January that it was moving the manufacturing operations of its Lincoln, Mercury, Escape and Escape XL vehicles from Michigan to Mexico, a move that also included hiring more than 200 new workers at the assembly plant in Milwaukee.
